Abstract:
Environment-Energy Business Opportunities in The Great Bay Area, China: Observation of a Chinese-American Veteran Entrepreneur.
Colin returned to Hong Kong in 1991 to promote the deregulation of the state controlled vertically-integrated-power-utility industry in Asia Pacific. He participated in the lobby of several ASEAN and Chinese governments, which resulted in bringing the Independent Power Producers industry to the region. He built two successful energy companies from ground up for the first 20 years. These two companies are now listed on the HKSE by their new owners. Market Cap of one of them is USD 4 billion. After 10 years of semi-retirement Colin will now try to do it again for the third time. He will discuss the WHY and HOW of his new venture.
