Headlines like “Here’s why the ultra-wealthy like Bill Gates and Thomas Peterffy are investing in U.S. farmland” didn’t catch much attention. Maybe we should care. Pension plans and life insurance companies like John Hancock are also snapping up farmland across the country because farmland are solid investment opportunity that can provide steady, non-correlated returns. However, our goal is different: we strive to “democratize agriculture investing, allowing more people to participate in the development of sustainable, socially responsible agriculture…” Farming is just the tip of the iceberg for our investment portfolio. I’m currently running a 47-year old pharmacy/supplements retail company with expansion plans to franchise the brand, acquire a manufacturing plant, merge with a distribution company, and integrate with sustainable farming…all completed within this year.

Double majored in Biochemistry and Kinesiology, I’m blessed with the opportunity to develop my interests in the health food industry for 27 years…and counting. Always fascinated by the power of natural therapy, I was involved in the early research of cannabis on cancer-pain relief and seizures way before its legalization. I’m not a purist in natural healing. I believe in a balanced approach of using both natural and western medicine. Recently, I was exposed to the world of real organic/wild farming, which completes the healing chain…from farm to table to supplements to medicine.
