Former Egyptian Ambassador
Tailored travel experience curator
Founder of MENA Chamber of commerce in Hong Kong
I worked in business, tourism and, later in my career, as Consul General in both London and Hong Kong, I was tasked with forging business connections and helping cement business deals. As Chargé d’Affaires in Portugal and as Ambassador to Slovakia, I opened up important investment opportunities in Arab countries. I know what makes business deals profitable and understand what makes investments viable.
Building bridges between Asian, Arab world and Africa. Better Connecting China, GBA and MENA via Hong Kong. Creating special moments and experience through magical travel destinations.
I’ve been a diplomat for three decades and an ambassador since 2013;
My current family’s home and my permanent base are Hong Kong, where I make connections for Chinese companies with businesses and officials in the Middle East and North Africa and also help MENA companies recognize investment opportunities in Hong Kong, the GBA and the Mainland.
Hong Kong is the super-connector to China and Asia and, as Egypt’s Consul General in Hong Kong for the past three years, I realized the huge potential of connections to MENA. I am closely familiar with that region, continue to visit there frequently, and maintain personal relations with key business, political and social leaders in many MENA countries. Over many years, I have had much positive exposure in Arab media and maintain contact with MENA news and media organizations.
The Arab world and Africa present great business opportunities but also significant risks. My skills include identifying and making introductions to key decision makers, assisting companies surmount political and bureaucratic hurdles, assessing relevant security risks, helping with media coverage, and advising on the degree of trust Chinese companies should give to Arab and African partners in negotiations.
