Abstract
Mitzi Leung will share her experience in supporting the UNESCO movement in education for sustainable development (ESD) and later on in peacebuilding education.
Speaker profile:
Mitzi is from the second cohort of HKU Social Science graduate. She started her vocational education career at the HK Polytechnic and later on joined the VTC (the biggest vocational and professional education and training provider) in its planning team to set a brand new institution which is now the Institute of Vocational Education. She is a strong advocate of business education partnership and served on numerous training boards, professional bodies and community associations.
She was involved in the set up of the UNESCO HK Association, an NGO and a recognised charity in HK and the development of programmes and activities in meeting community needs.She was recognised by the China National Commission of UNESCO as a pioneer in Education for Sustainable Development. She is a Co-Founder of the UNESCO HK Global Peace Centre.
Mitzi is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong, Founding Chair of the Rotary Action Group for Peace (RAGFP) HK and Macao Chapter, elected and serves as Director on the RAGFP Board since February 2022.
